Data
Vision

Until 1954, no one had run a mile in under 4 minutes. People believed it was impossible. In 1954, a runner named Roger Bannister became the first person to break this barrier, completing a mile in 3 minutes and 59.4 seconds.
Interestingly, just two months after he broke this record, John Landy ran it in 3 minutes and 58 seconds. After that, many other athletes started running the mile in under 4 minutes.
What this story shows is that the belief of ‘impossible’ in people’s minds was the real barrier. Once one person proved it was possible, others were able to achieve it too.
Many people trust only Data and Facts, and are reluctant to accept Visionaries.
Data tells us about the past.
Vision imagines the future.
That’s why even though some things can’t be measured by data yet, believing in their possibility is crucial.
