ဆုကိုယ်တိုင်လည်း စာအုပ် summary တွေလုပ်ပေးပေမဲ့ တကယ်ဖတ်တာရဲ့ ၂၀ လောက်ပဲ ဆုပြောပေးနိုင်တာမျိုးပေါ့နော်။ ဒါဘယ်သူမဆို အတူတူပဲဆိုထင်တယ်။

Before I read the books myself, I often listen to book summaries explained by others. I listen to them all, Amazon Audible, ToeTet, YouTube, and Podcasts. I’ve been listening daily for a year. There are times I manage to act on what I’ve heard, and other times I just pass it by. The speed of implementation isn’t fast now.

In reality, even when I read myself, my understanding style is different. Although I also do book summaries, I can only convey about 20% of what’s actually in the books. I think it’s the same for everyone. Even if I talk from the beginning to the end of a book, the understanding from listening and the understanding from reading and recalling by yourself are going to be quite different.

So, what I want to say is…

– Not reading at all but listening to book summaries is better.
– Listening to book summaries is better than listening to the whole book.
– Reading it yourself is better than listening to the whole book.
– Taking notes while reading is better than only reading.
– Remembering everything you’ve read and being able to teach it back is even better.
